ABOUT ME

Hello, It's Tarin! As a postgraduate in Fine Arts (Crafts) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, I achieved the opportunity to learn many diverse design techniques. My journey began with a focus on metal carving, where I also gained skills such as wood carving, batik, textile design, tapestry and various handcrafted design techniques.

 

I started my career as a “Design Specialist” in the development sector. Working within UN-funded skill development and livelihood projects in Rohingya Refugee Camps, I gained invaluable experience collaborating with clients and stakeholders. Through my journey in humanitarian sector, I executed problem solving skills, module development, design related challenges and delivering projects within deadlines.

 

Following my passion for growth, exploration, and love for design and cultural diversity I moved to the UK as a skilled worker. Here I learned Graphic Design and delved more into digital designs and learned photo editing, colour theory, composition, logo presentation, Illustration, brand presentation etc and embracing new tools and techniques to bring concepts to life.

 

Currently I’m working as a freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator, Partnering with different clients on unique projects that inspire and challenge me. I believe that together we are more, together we can achieve more. Through collaboration and creative design, we can make the world more beautiful and bring positive change to our surroundings.
